Chrissy Teigen placed on full bed rest amid ‘pregnancy difficulty’

Chrissy Teigen has been ordered to stay in bed as she grapples with a “difficult pregnancy.”

Teigen, who was placed on a 2-week bed rest earlier this month, said she didn’t take it seriously enough.

“I didn’t really know that bed rest was in bed. I honestly thought bed rest was you have to really, really relax, stay home,” Teigen, 34, shared on her Instagram Story. “I thought it could be couch rest. But now I’m in trouble. Now I need bed rest.”

The “Cravings” cookbook author said she’s “just trying to be as healthy as possible” as she navigates her third pregnancy, which has proven more difficult than her first two.

“It’s a bit of a difficult pregnancy. I feel good though,” she said. “I will say I’m probably being punished for talking so much about how great the first two went. I was like, ‘Oh yeah, pregnancy’s awesome!’ But now I get it. I get anyone that thinks it’s not so awesome but very happy to be carrying this baby.”

She’s on mandatory bed rest until next Tuesday.

Teigen and husband John Legend are also parents to 4-year-old daughter Luna and 2-year-old son Miles.

Corrie star would have preferred I’m a Celebrity’s UK location

Not everyone is going to love I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here‘s brand new location for its 2020 series, but former contestant and Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine would have much preferred this year’s camp.

Jennie, who finished fourth in 2017’s I’m a Celebrity, spoke to Radio Times about ITV’s decision to move its camp to Gwrych Castle, Abergele in North Wales – and it turns out she’s a bit jealous of this year’s line-up.

Because far from being scared of Australia’s native creepy crawlies, it was the heat that worried her ahead of the show. “[Wales] would have been ideal for me… because I’m a red head so it was a real worry going to Australia,” the Fiz Brown actress admitted.

“That was one of my biggest fears, that it’s going to be too hot.”

She continued: “Everyone else was thinking, ‘Bikini, sunbathing’ and I was dreading it, but actually on our year, it chucked it down all the time. Everyone else was gutted but I was secretly pleased. So Wales would suit me perfectly.”

While I’m a Celebrity‘s move from New South Wales to Wales may have suited Jennie better, previous winner Vicky Pattison recently revealed she thinks the new location will make the experience harder for stars.

Not least because there’ll be “a lot more sheep testicles”.

“I do think they’re going to find that really hard. It’s just going to add another dynamic to it,” she said of the move. “I think I would struggle, because you fire yourself up. You get all excited that you’re going to be in the jungle shower, and in the famous camp.”

2015’s Queen of the Jungle is looking forward to the new series nonetheless. “Now it is going to be really different,” Vicky added. “[And] on the plus side, they’re the first to ever do this, they’re paving the way for something new.”

I’m a Celebrity will return later this year on ITV.

Sir David Attenborough Dazzles Prince George During a Visit to Kensington Palace

It’s rare for the Cambridges to mix business with pleasure, but when it came to meeting a world famous conservationist, Prince William and Kate couldn’t resist.

After a private outdoor viewing of Sir David Attenborough’s new film A Life On Our Planet at Kensington Palace last week, William arranged for Kate and their three children to meet the world-famous naturalist and much-loved national treasure.

Clutching a copy of the wildlife expert’s new book, William seemed thrilled for his children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis to meet the 94-year-old, who is the same age as  the Queen, whom he has met many times. The Queen granted Sir David a CBE for his work in 1974 before knighting him 1985 for his extraordinary work showcasing the natural world.

During last week’s meeting Sir David gave Prince George a tooth from a giant shark, which the seven-year-old Prince examined closely. Sir David explained to the curious young royal that the scientific name of the tooth is carcharocles megalodon (‘big tooth’).  Sir David found it on a family holiday to Malta in the late 1960s, embedded in the island’s soft yellow limestone, which was laid down during the Miocene period some 23 million years ago.

The film, which will premiere in cinemas on Monday before launching on Netflix October 4, is Attenborough’s most personal project to date, described as his witness statement for the natural world. In the film he presents some of the most defining moments of his career as a naturalist and the devastating changes he has seen.

Sir David and the William have been firm friends ever since they appeared together in conversation at Davos in 2019, where they addressed the scale and urgency of the climate crisis. With a shared passion for protecting the natural world, they continue to support one another in their missions to tackle some of the biggest environmental challenges our planet faces. This includes working together on the Duke’s new Earthshot Prize.
