Former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones provided play-by-play on Twitter.
Jon Jones was the UFC’s greatest light heavyweight champion of all-time. Earlier this year, Jones decided to vacant his belt and move up to heavyweight. However, Jones wasn’t ready to put the light heavyweight division behind him that fast. On Twitter, Jones live-tweeted the co-main event between Jan Błachowicz and Dominick Reyes.
In his final title defense, Jones defeated Reyes by a controversial split-decision at UFC 247. Jones continued to describe how Blachowicz was finding success and continually land.
In the finishing sequence, Jones wanted to make sure everyone on Twitter know that Blachowicz broke Reyes’ nose. Jones continued to take shots at Reyes, who Jones is clearly not a fan of.
While Jones’ initial Twitter rage appeared to be only with Reyes. However, he might have started taking some coded shots at Blachowicz after the new light heavyweight champion called him out following the fight.
Jones decided to wrap up his play-by-play performance by congratulation Blachowicz.
Despite having feuded with current middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, Jones was not staying up to watch his fight against Paulo Costa. However, given all of Jones’ bad decisions in his personal life, maybe we should celebrate his decision to go to be before midnight local time in New Mexico and stay out of trouble.
