UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis looks shredded in his latest Instagram post.

Derrick Lewis continues to stay in shape ahead of his Nov. 28 bout against Curtis Blaydes, as both men are still in the hunt for a UFC heavyweight title shot. Lewis is coming off a second-round TKO against Aleksei Olenik back in August, as he earned his third-straight Octagon win and second victory of 2020.

In Lewis’ latest Instagram post, he is seen running in the heat to the beat of popular music, continuing his weight-loss journey while still maintaining a heavyweight frame in the process.

How has Derrick Lewis fared in the UFC so far?

Lewis has enjoyed a successful MMA career so far, as he has quietly made a name for himself amongst fans worldwide. After going viral at UFC 229 for his infamous post-fight interview with Joe Rogan in 2018, Lewis earned a title shot at MSG the following month, as he took on Daniel Cormier for the heavyweight title. To that point, Lewis was 21-5 and wound up losing the championship contest via a second-round rear-naked choke. After a defeat at the hands of former heavyweight champion, Junior dos Santos, Lewis has gone on a mini-run as he continues his quest back to the top of the division.

Currently, Lewis sits at 24-7-1, as he has 19 KO/TKO’s, one submission, and four decision wins. He has been with the promotion since July of 2014, having defeated the likes of Gabriel Gonzaga, Roy Nelson, and Travis Browne along the way. Lewis even holds a win against former title challenger and No. 1 contender, Francis Ngannou, despite there being little to no action throughout the 15-minute contest. According to the current heavyweight rankings, Lewis sits at No. 7 overall.
