Kanye West Says He Wants More Black Ownership In Music

Published

By the way, West is still running for president. According to The New York Times, he could become an election spoiler — if enough people vote for him, drawing Democratic votes away from Joe Biden and toward Donald Trump. Although he didn’t make it onto the ballot in several states, he could still sway the election as a third-party candidate, the way Jill Stein did in 2016.

The Times says West also asked his campaign staff to avoid  “fornicating outside of marriage.”

That’s just a weird thing for West to mention, but everything about 2020 is weird, so maybe it fits.

Cardi B’s 2-Year-Old Daughter Breaks The Internet With RIDICULOUSLY CUTE New Instagram Account!

Welcome to the ‘gram, Kulture Kiari!

The 2-year-old daughter of Cardi B and Offset has officially joined social media with a new Instagram account. Yes, we said she’s 2 years old. The account was only made a couple days ago, but it’s already verified with more than 700,000 followers. Not bad for a girl who can’t even read yet! LOLz!

It’s no wonder gurl has such a head start with Cardi in her corner. The WAP rapper promoted her toddler’s new IG on Saturday, encouraging fans to follow and promising “soo much cool and bute [sic] baby stuff coming up.” Kulture’s bio reads:

“Hey buddies Kulture official page I like everything pink Spoiled

The account already has a handful of pictures and videos, including a mini photoshoot with a Louis Vuitton bag gifted from Megan Thee Stallion. There’s also some serious flexing happening on Kulture’s behalf, with a recent video showing off her collection of “ice.” (So, not only does the kid own a Birkin bag, her jewelry collection is probably worth more than most of us have in our bank accounts… cool!)

Fans noted that Momma Cardi seems to be having a lot of fun managing her only child’s Instagram. The captions highlight the rapper’s signature sense of humor:

“Me & my mommy …..My mom was annoying me but it’s ok cause I look cute.”

“My mom telling me NO but that means YES in my language”

“Throwback of my grandma giving me mash potatoes while my entourage records.I didn’t like mash potatoes before now they ok.I prefer rice I love rice

But just because Cardi’s running the show doesn’t mean Kulture isn’t keeping her eye on things. One video shows the toddler giving her own post a double-tap, or as Cardi wrote:

“On my Instagram making sure my mommy don’t post nothing embarrassing on my page.”

Ha!

Running the adorable new account is probably a welcome distraction for the Grammy winner. (It beats passing the time with disgusting food combinations, anyway.) Not only do we ALL need new hobbies as coronavirus quarantine wears on, but Cardi is also dealing with the fallout of her split from Kulture’s dad. Luckily, the divorce seems to be proceeding as amicably as possible — it’s so chill, she hasn’t even shed a tear. During a Friday IG live, the Hustlers star confirmed:

“It’s nothing crazy, out of this world happened. Sometimes people really do f**king grow apart. I’ve been with this man for four years, I have a kid with this man, I have a household with this man. Sometimes you’re just tired of the arguments, of the build ups. You get tired sometimes.”

With that in mind, we’d say showering your baby with attention is a fairly healthy way of dealing with a breakup, even if it is via a social media account she can’t use on her own yet.

We can’t wait to see more Kulture Kontent on our feeds!!!

Ratched Season 2: Plot details, release date, & more

Published

Fans are eager to learn more about Ratched season 2, so we’ve gathered together all of the details we know so far about the creepy Netflix thriller.

Ratched season 1 just released last weekend, but fans are already eagerly awaiting news on the second season. Ratched season 2 was picked up alongside the first, as Netflix issued a two-season, 18-episode order for the show.

Since season 1 was only eight episodes, we can anticipate that season 2 will be ten. However, that could change when production begins. It is also possible Netflix could revoke the second season order. The pandemic has made that a real possibility. Several of their renewed shows have been canceled due to COVID-19 production problems.

Hopefully, because the show seems to be doing well with audiences and Netflix’s overall deal with creator Ryan Murphy, that will ensure Ratched season 2 moves forward. Star Sarah Paulson has gone on record saying the show is “not a limited series.”

She also told Oprah Magazine that they have an endgame for the series and a plan for the future seasons.

What will Ratched season 2 be about?

Netflix would disappoint fans by suddenly axing Ratched because the season 1 finale ends with a juicy cliffhanger everyone wants to be solved ASAP. Season 1 focused on Mildred’s plan to help Edmund, by any means necessary. Ratched season 2 will see the brother-sister duo in direct opposition.

Believing Mildred betrayed him, Edmund and his partner-in-crime Charlotte and former innkeeper Louise plan to come after her. Edmund sends Mildred a message by massacring seven nurses and then calling her to see if she got his clue.

Mildred and Gwendolyn had since escaped to Mexico with Lenore’s money after the insanity at the hospital. During the call, Mildred tells Edmund that he is the one who should watch out, as she intends to come for him. Season 2 will likely see Edmund and Mildred in an intense game of cat-and-mouse.

We will also probably find out more about Gwendolyn and her cancer. Will she survive? Or will her death be what turns Mildred into the monstrous Nurse Ratched we know from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest?

When will Ratched season 2 be released?

The pandemic makes it increasingly difficult to predict timelines. If I had to guess, I would wager Netflix will try to keep Ratched a fall show. It fits nicely with the Halloween season. That might mean waiting until 2022, but hopefully, that isn’t the case. If things stay on track, then it should be released around the same time next year — likely in Sept. or Oct. We should learn more in the coming months or by late winter.

Liam Neeson is still “very proud” of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace

Published

Liam Neeson, who played Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, looks back at the movie, lamenting how it hurt Ahmed Best’s (Jar Jar) career.

It’s no secret that the Star Wars prequels were highly divisive among fans. And the first movie in the trilogy, 1999’s The Phantom Menace, might be the most divisive of all. At the time, fans called it out for being boring, poorly acted, and in general less interesting that Original Trilogy.

However, younger fans who grew up with the movie have been kinder to it, and it’s having a bit of a renaissance. Recently, actor Liam Neeson, who played Obi-Wan Kenobi’s master Qui-Gon Jinn, weighed in.

Neeson’s Qui-Gon Jinn was a fan-favorite from The Phantom Menace, and the actor has gone on to voice the Jedi in multiple animated TV shows. Those shows add a lot to Jinn’s character development, in turn making the prequels more exciting.

Speaking to Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM radio show, Neeson gave his opinion on The Phantom Menace over two decades out. “I like the film. I’m proud of it and proud to have been a part of it,” he said. “I got to be a Jedi. I got to play with those wonderful lightsabers and stuff. It was terrific, Andy, it really was.”

It sounds to me, more than anything, like he’s delighted to have fulfilled the classic childhood dream of wielding a lightsaber. And he did it alongside Ewan Mcgregor (Obi-Wan) in that fight against Darth Maul, which I believe is one of the more epic lightsaber duels in Star Wars.

Neeson also weighed in on the blowback actor Ahmed Best got for playing Jar Jar Binks, who became a sort of symbol for all the problems people had with the movie. Best did both voice acting and motion capture for the character. Neeson doesn’t think Best deserved such heavy criticism:

I know a lot of fans and critics didn’t like it and my lovely friend Ahmed Best, who played Jar Jar Binks, came in for a lot, a lot of criticism. To the point where it really hurt his career. And I have to say when I was making that film, he was probably one of the funniest guys and talented guys I have ever worked with. I remember calling my old ex-agent at ICM and said, ‘I think I just worked with the new Eddie Murphy.’ I still believe that…Truly, he is one of the funniest guys. He had all of us in stitches — including George Lucas. And then bam, the film comes out and he’s attacked, personally attacked by fans and critics for whatever reasons.

Similar to Neeson with Qui-Gon Jinn, Ahmed Best went on to do voice work for Jar Jar Binks in multiple Star Wars animated shows. He also hosts the Star Wars game show Jedi Temple Challenge:

Whatever you think of The Phantom Menace, there’s no denying that it’s now a pillar of the Star Wars universe, serving as an entry point for many newcomers. It introduced many important characters who have appeared in tons of comic books, animated shows, video games, and other movies, including Darth Maul, who had a terrific arc on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Rebels.
