Leah McSweeney Reportedly Made Just 3k Per Episode

Published

on

Leah McSweeney claims to be underpaid on RHONY. Is she getting the short end of the stick? She reportedly earns just thousands per episode.

Leah McSweeney may not be returning for the next season of  Real Housewives of New York. She’s removed the show from her bio on IMDb. To top it all off, she claimed that the show underpaid her to film her life, at only $3,000 USD per episode. That came to $60,000 total before taxes and other expenses.

Fans don’t want McSweeney to leave. She debuted on season 12 with aplomb, more than willing to go to war with Ramona Singer. In the wake of Dorinda Medley also being cut, due to being difficult off-camera and having a drinking problem, people want a consistent cast. Viewers don’t want to lose their favorites. McSweeney also debuted her Married to the Mob clothing line,

Reality Blurb has broken the news about McSweeney’s upcoming departure. She says that during negotiations for The Real Housewives of New York season 13, the network offered her a “minuscule” pay raise. It was, in her words, basically the same $3000 per episode as before. McSweeney felt insulted and wanted to hold out for a better deal. While McSweeney hasn’t officially left the show, she may be holding out until the network relents. At present, the signs are discomfiting. Time will tell if she is playing poker with a good hand. McSweeney is, however, still participating in the reunions and will take no nonsense from Ramona Singer. She has issues, but still shared excitement about the finale recently. See her post below:

If viewers want McSweeney to remain on the show, they should write to the network or post on social media about reinstating her. Presumably, Bravo will listen if they receive enough communication from their fans about a favorite housewife. They may give McSweeney the raise that she has earned by being on the show. On the other hand, given that Leah McSweeney has been a Trump supporter in the past, it may not be best to enable her. McSweeney hasn’t confirmed or denied if she has changed her tune.

While many people won’t see $3,000 per episode during a reality television season, McSweeney may have a point. Factoring in state-federal taxes and the high cost of living in New York City, she may indeed be getting underpaid for her participation. There is also the consideration that the pay is low compared to what her costars are receiving.  The pay raise being small may have also been an insulting gesture, with the network showing she wasn’t worthy of their time. Bravo has to make a decision before The Real Housewives of New York filming resumes.

Trent Reznor Is One Award Away From REGOT Status

Published

He’s getting closer every year. Trent Reznor, along with his frequent creative partner Atticus Ross, has taken home an Emmy in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited Series, Movie, or Special category for his work on HBO’s Watchmen. The duo received the good news on September 18 during the fourth (and virtual) night of the Creative Arts Emmys. “We’re very proud to be involved with a show this relevant, smart, and daring. We were changed and affected by working on this and it’s great to see it resonate with the world at large,” Reznor said. “Thanks very much to our families for tolerating us spending some long weeks and months in this cave. We love you, and thank you.” With their Emmy win, Reznor is one award away from achieving a coveted REGOT. (And Ross, an EGOT.) Reznor is being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later this year for his Nine Inch Nails work, and, with Ross, he won an Oscar in 2011 for The Social Network score and a Grammy in 2011 for the Girl With a Dragon Tattoo soundtrack. Would you rather see him get a Tony with a NIN jukebox musical or an “Old Town Road” drama?

Christina Anstead’s Ex Tarek El Moussa Is Being ‘Very Supportive’ Amid Her Split From Husband Ant

Someone to lean on. Flip or Flop star Christina Anstead‘s first ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, is “being very supportive” of her amid her split from estranged second husband Ant Anstead, a source exclusively tells In Touch.

“Tarek was shocked too,” the insider reveals about his reaction to the couple’s breakup news. “He’s there for her and so is his fiancé, Heather [Rae Young], who feels bad for Christina and completely understands Tarek supporting his ex during this time. Tarek loves Hudson like if he was his own.”

Christina, 37, announced she and Ant, 41, were calling it quits after nearly two years of marriage via Instagram on Friday, September 18. “Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate,” the Christina on the Coast star captioned a photo of her and the U.K. native walking on the beach together. “We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority. We appreciate your support and ask for privacy for us and our family as we navigate the future.”

The couple started dating in October 2017, nine months after her split from Tarek, 39. The couple never announced their engagement but tied the knot in December 2018. The following March, they announced they were expecting their first child together. Christina and the Wheeler Dealers host welcomed son Hudson in September 2019.

Their relationship seemed to be going strong before announcing their separation, and the Craft It Yourself alum even gushed over Hudson’s “beautiful mummy” in a tribute to their son on his first birthday. But an insider revealed to Life & Style that ultimately, the couple “grew apart” which is what led to their split.

“They’re very different people from totally different backgrounds, and that definitely played a factor,” the insider continued, while adding, “The crazy thing is that on the outside they looked like the perfect couple. It just goes to show that you just never know what’s going on behind closed doors.”

This isn’t Christina’s first public split. Tarek and Christina went their separate ways in December 2016 after seven years of marriage. The Flipping 101 star filed for divorce in January 2017 and it was finalized in January 2018. They share two kids together, daughter Taylor and son Brayden. Tarek started dating Selling Sunset star Heather, 33, in July 2019. They got engaged on their one year anniversary.
