Just a day later, Warner Bros. released a statement in which it claimed Fisher “declined to speak to the investigator.”
According to a Warner Bros. spokesperson, Fisher’s representatives asked in July if DC Films President Walter Hamada would talk to Fisher “about his concerns during the production of Justice League.” The spokesperson claimed Fisher and Hamada had previously spoken when Hamada asked Fisher to reprise his role as Cyborg in the Flash movie along with other members of the Justice League.
“In their July conversation, Mr. Fisher recounted disagreements he’d had with the film’s creative team regarding his portrayal of Cyborg, and complained that this suggested script revisions were not adopted,” the statement continued. “Mr. Hamada explained that creative differences are a normal part of the production process, and that a film’s writer/director ultimately has to be in charge of these matters. Notably, Mr. Hamada also told Mr. Fisher that [they] would elevate his concerns to WarnerMedia so they could conduct an investigation.”
The spokesperson then added, “At no time did Mr. Hamada ever ‘throw anyone under the bus’ as Mr. Fisher has falsely claimed, or render any judgments about the Justice League production, in which Mr. Hamada had no involvement, since filming occurred before Mr. Hamada was elevated to his current position.”
The statement then noted that while Fisher “never alleged any actionable misconduct against him, WarnerMedia nonetheless initiated an investigation into the concerns he’d raised about his character’s portrayal.”
“Still not satisfied, Mr. Fisher insisted that WarnerMedia hire an independent third-party investigator. This investigator has attempted multiple times to meet with Mr. Fisher to discuss his concerns but, to date, Mr. Fisher has declined to speak to the investigator,” the statement continued. “Warner Bros. remains committed to accountability and to the well-being of every cast and crew member on each of its productions. It also remains committed to investigating any specific and credible allegation of misconduct, which thus far Mr. Fisher has failed to provide.”

When reflecting on the 30th anniversary of his original film adaptation of his 1988 novel Cabal, Barker confirmed that he is indeed making progress on the series, currently writing “the bible” for the world of the titular group, and that he’s excited to be working with the Godzilla: King of the Monsters director on the project, as well as on the series adaptation of Hellraiser at HBO on which Dougherty is a writer and executive producer.
“It’s exciting, after 30 years, to go back to these characters and find out who’s still speaking to me, who wants their story told,” Barker brightly expressed. “My tongue isn’t in my cheek when I say that as when I start a piece, it’s listening. The writing is a piece of listening, I’ve always said I was a journalist and what I was reporting on was the space between my ears.”

Barker wrote and directed the film adaptation of his work but, at the time of its release, it was considered a box office failure. In recent decades, the film has since attained a cult status among dark fantasy and horror fans alike.

‘Beast’: Idris Elba Will Face Off Against a Lion in New Thriller From ‘Contraband’ Director
Posted on Wednesday, September 30th, 2020 by Ben Pearson
Idris Elba once played the villainous Shere Khan in Jon Favreau’s The Jungle Book, but now the actor will go toe to toe with the king of the forest in a new thriller called Beast.
Elba has been cast in the lead role in the movie, which hails from Contraband and 2 Guns director Baltasar Kormakur. Get more details below.
Baltasar Kormakur, the Iceland-born director whose previous credits include Contraband, The Deep, 2 Guns, Everest, The Oath, and Adrift, is set to make this new Beast movie for Universal Pictures, according to Deadline. Plot details are still slim, but the film is reportedly in the vein of Jaume Collet-Serra’s hyper-focused Blake Lively survival thriller The Shallows, “but instead of sharks, a lion [will] be involved as a the central antagonist.”
Idris Elba vs. a lion? Sign me the hell up. Elba is a terrific actor with an impressive range, and while I appreciate his dramas as much as the next cinephile, I’ve always kind of hoped that he’d lean into action hero mode a little bit more since he’s evidently not going to be the next James Bond. Maybe starring in a fun B-movie where he faces off against a lion will spark a new era of his career where he can pull a Liam Neeson and release one of these types of movies every few years. There must be something in the water right now with lions, because Megan Fox just starred in a movie called Rogue where she faced off against killer lions, and Barry Jenkins was just announced as the director of Disney’s new follow-up to The Lion King. Looks like all those years of lion lobbying in Hollywood are finally paying off.
This film is based on an original idea by writer Jaime Primak-Sullivan, who previously cooked up the story for the Gabrielle Union-led home invasion movie Breaking In. Ryan Engle (Rampage) was credited with writing the screenplay for Breaking In, and Engle is writing the screenplay for Beast, once again tackling a script based on a Primak-Sullivan idea.
Will Packer, who has been one of the most successful producers in Hollywood over the past several years thanks to films like Straight Outta Compton, Ride Along, Think Like a Man, and Girls Trip, is producing this movie along with his production partner James Lopez. They previously worked with Primak-Sullivan and Engle on Breaking In. Kormakur is producing as well.

Chrissy Teigen Shares New of Her Heartbreaking Miscarriage
Chrissy Teigen revealed Wednesday night that she suffered a miscarriage after she had been rushed to the hospital earlier this week for excessive bleeding.
Teigen said doctors were unable to stop the bleeding “despite bags and bags of blood transfusions.”
“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before,” Teigen wrote in an Instagram post. “We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”
She added, “To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.”
Teigen concluded her post by writing, “We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience. But everyday can’t be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it.”
