Rebel: ABC Orders Drama Starring Katey Sagal from Grey’s Anatomy Boss

Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 boss Krista Vernoff will have three shows on the air at ABC this season.

The broadcast network has ordered drama series Rebel straight to series to debut in 2021, it was announced Wednesday by Karey Burke, president, ABC Entertainment.

The series premiere episode is written by Krista Vernoff and directed by Tara Nicole Weyr.

Inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich today, Annie “Rebel” Bello is a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree.

She’s a funny, messy, brilliant and fearless woman who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves.

When Rebel applies herself to a fight she believes in, she will win at almost any cost.

“Erin Brockovich has never stopped the extraordinary work she does fighting for her clients like they’re family, and Krista Vernoff’s take on her life today in ‘Rebel’ is undeniable,” said Karey Burke, president, ABC Entertainment.

“Katey Sagal is a powerhouse as ‘Rebel’ and with Andy Garcia, John Corbett and the rest of the phenomenal cast, viewers are going to fall in love with these characters and the world Krista has created for them.” “

The work that Erin Brockovich does in this world is so powerful and so important that it almost defies description,” said Vernoff.

“Erin works tirelessly for social, legal and environmental justice despite the lack of a formal degree. She inspires everyone she meets to become their own heroes, and somehow, she also keeps us laughing.”

“It has been a tremendous honor to get to know Erin and to create a show inspired by her,” continues Vernoff.

“I could not be more excited about the series order for ‘Rebel,’ and I’m so grateful for the support of Dana Walden, Karey Burke, Craig Hunegs, Jonnie Davis and all my partners at Walt Disney Television and ABC.”

“‘Rebel’ is not just my story, it is all of our stories. There is a hero that exists in all of us, and I am so excited for Krista Vernoff and ABC to bring their visionary storytelling to this series,” said Erin Brockovich.

“The name ‘Rebel’ oozes self-empowerment, courage and rising above, even in the worst of circumstances. I cannot think of anyone better to play this role than the indomitable Katey Sagal, who is such a force, as well as the rest of this extraordinary cast.”

Frankie Muniz and Wife Paige Price Announce She’s Pregnant, Expecting Their 1st Child

Malcolm in the Middle alum Frankie Muniz and his wife, Paige Price, announced on Saturday, September 26, that she’s pregnant and expecting their first child.

“We were shocked and thrilled to hear the news that we’re going to be parents,” the couple captioned a clip titled “Frankie & Paige are having a baby!” on their YouTube channel. “We’re currently traveling through Jackson, Wyoming and we decided to make a little video!”

“In the past four-and-a-half years, Paige and I have experienced so many incredible things together,” the actor, 34, said in the video. “We’ve traveled the world, got to live out all these once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. While we still believe it’s the little moments in between the big ones that make you feel happiest, nothing quite compares to the first time hearing your little one’s heartbeat.”

“We felt like we were living and experiencing a real-life miracle for the first time,” he continued as the video showed the couple goofing off in the Cowboy State. “The second I heard that heartbeat, reality set in. I was throwing out baby names and future career choices.”

As they showed a sonogram pic and Muniz rubbed his wife’s baby bump, Price continued, “When we found out that we were expecting, I think we were both in a state of disbelief. We knew that we wanted this but we were told that our chances weren’t that great. The struggle of going to every doctor’s appointment made me feel less and less like a woman. I’m excited to say that we beat the odds and we’re officially 15 weeks along and counting.”

“We’re both really excited for the future,” the Big Fat Liar star added. “We can’t wait to meet our little one.” The video ended with text revealing that Baby Muniz is due in March 2021.

The couple, who began dating in 2016, announced their engagement in November 2018. They wed in Phoenix in February this year.

Muniz revealed during his time on Dancing With the Stars in 2017 that Price had been helping him cope with memory loss he may have sustained from “a lot of concussions.”

“I get sad at the thought of losing my memory, because I know that I do,” the Agent Cody Banks star said. “So she writes literally in detail — she’s a writer too, so it works — like a journal that I can look at any day. It does bring me back there because there is really cool, amazing detail.”

Max Ehrich Reacts to Demi Lovato Split

Max Ehrich has seemingly responded to the reports that he and former fiancée Demi Lovato are over — and it doesn’t sound like he was in on the decision!

In an Instagram Story Friday, Ehrich posted his thoughts on a black background, asking his followers to, “Imagine finding out the status of your relationship through a tabloid.”

He went on to write, “… While your in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a Pastor in a Christian Church whose intention of the film is to help people.”

His final words: “God bless.”

Ehrich was referencing the movie “Southern Gospel,” about a rock star whose life takes a turn when he decides to become a preacher. It is currently filming in Georgia.

For her part, Demi has remained mum on the split. On Friday, she took to Instagram to promote a partnership with an online therapy service.

Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich reportedly called off their engagement last week. Ehrich has wiped all traces of Demi from his social media, while Demi has left up images she had posted related to Ehrich.

A source told People magazine of their recent split, “It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers. They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together.”

Rumors of the split have been swirling after Lovato’s bodyguard and sister recently unfollowed Ehrich.

To fuel more rumors, Demi and Max have not been liking each other’s recent photos on Instagram.

Lovato ditched her engagement ring in an Instagram Story in which she wore a “Dogs over People” tee, which may have been a reference to the loyalty of one species compared to that of another.

The split came just two weeks after Lovato addressed alleged old tweets from Ehrich about Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande. Calling them fake tweets, Demi wrote on Instagram, “It’s really sad when people FAKE images to put women against each other. If women have conflict that’s between them NOT YOU. Yes, it’s easier to tear apart celebrities and their relationships because 2020 sucks and scares the s— out of us all but it’s only gonna stay terrifying until we address it all and WORK ON SOLUTIONS TOGETHER.”

In July, Max popped the question to Demi in Malibu after just three months of dating. At the time, she gushed on Instagram, “@maxehrich – I knew I loved you the moment I met you. It was something I can’t describe to anyone who hasn’t experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too.. I’ve never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents) flaws and all. You never pressure me to be anything other than myself. And you make me want to be the best version of myself.”

“I’m honored to accept your hand in marriage. I love you more than a caption could express but I’m ecstatic to start a family and life with you,” Demi continued. “I love you forever my baby. My partner. Here’s to our future!!!!”
Max also shared some of their engagement photos, writing, “Ahhhh 💍😭🥳💓 You are every love song, every film, every lyric, every poem, everything I could ever dream of and then some in a partner in life.”

“Words cannot express how infinitely in love with you I am forever and always and then some. I cannot spend another second of my time here on Earth without the miracle of having you as my wife. here’s to forever baby 💍,” Max continued. “ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh jeuejfjqjweuvu I’m so excited 😭😭😭 you are the most beautiful inside and out in the entire world & I couldn’t be more grateful God brought us together 🥳❤️ 🙃💍💍💍😭I LOVE YOU SO MUCH @ddlovato AND WILL FOREVER CHERISH YOUR PURE, BEAUTIFUL, INFINITE SOUL.”

Demi and Max started dating as the COVID-19 pandemic hit the nation. They had been flirting on social media before quarantining together.

Savannah Chrisley Slams Rumor About Her Dad Causing Nic Kerdiles Split

Reminding her followers that this is about her personal life, Savannah expressed her desire for people to “stop trying to create drama out of nothing.”

“If there’s anything new to share with you, I will share it with you because that’s the life that I’ve chosen to live,” she added. “I’ve chosen to live a very public life. But with that being said…I don’t owe my life to the people that follow me on Instagram. You know, I don’t owe it to these tabloids to give them an answer to a question that they want.”

Ultimately, Savannah said she owed it to herself to be “true, honest and vulnerable” and to figure out how she really feels.

“That’s just kind of where I stand with that,” she said. “So, there’s no hatred between Nic and I. There’s no dad ruining our relationship. Like, there’s none of that. So, I just really wish that would stop.”

She then left her listeners with this thought: “Just because we choose to live a public life, doesn’t give anyone the right to be hateful.”
