Rachel Bradshaw on Her Music Career and Releasing a Duet With Her Dad (EXCLUSIVE)

Published

on

Though Rachel is now clearly focused on her singing and songwriting, she actually filmed The Bradshaw Bunch while she was taking a pause from music.

“You get burnt out from stuff, and I’ve been working with music since I was a kid,” she told Distractify. “When I came home to take a break, we got the show. It was our new job.”

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, all of that changed. The reality star found herself more motivated than ever before to create.

“Then COVID-19 hit. It was probably two months in when I got to the point where I was losing my mind,” she continued. “My old outlet would be to go to my piano, so that’s what I did. I just started writing a record and I was like, ‘What am I doing right now?'”

Her single, “Wild Horse,” debuted on Oct. 8, and she shared that her EP will likely be out sometime in December of 2020.

“I was so inspired, and I ended up writing an entire record. When I told my family about it, they told me that I had to release it because they said that it was good, and that it was from my heart. It was really a combination of boredom, and being inspired from COVID. Before that, it had been years since I had been super inspired.”

As for what styles, songs, and sounds she gravitates toward, Rachel noted that The Lumineers, Coldplay, and Lana Del Rey have long been her “go-to’s.”

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar Speak Out Amid Jill’s Family Revelations: We Pray ‘Our Relationship Is Healed’

Will time heal all wounds? Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar spoke out amid daughter Jill Dillard (née Duggar)’s revelations about their family drama and said it would bring them great joy to be close again.

“Every family has differences of opinion and perspective at times, but families work things out,” the reality TV couple told People in a statement on Wednesday, October 21. “We all love Jill, Derick [Dillard], and their boys very much. It is our prayer that our relationship is healed and fully restored quickly!”

Jill, 29, opened up about her estranged relationship with her parents following her and husband Derick’s departure from the brood’s TLC series Counting On in a bombshell new tell-all interview. The Arkansas resident and her spouse, 31, quit the show in 2017 and are now detailing how they felt overwhelmed by the expectations of her conservative and religious relatives.

“Our control to choose what jobs we were allowed to accept and even where we were allowed to live was taken away from us,” Jill shared, revealing how they felt pressured to comply with the network or her family’s plans no matter what.

Derick said they faced a lot of roadblocks in the past that were very frustrating. “The first few years of our marriage, we spent time and money working towards opportunities only to hit a dead end when we’d be told, ‘Well, you’re not allowed to do that,’” the father of two added about the restrictions they faced.

After appearing on the Duggar family’s original show, 19 Kids and Counting, and later returning for the spinoff, Jill said she and Derick got a less-than-desirable reaction when they revealed their plans to walk away from Counting On.

“I never expected this to happen or for it to get to this point,” Jill admitted. “I’m realizing I can’t put a timeline on healing. I love my family and they love me. I really just have to follow God’s lead and take it one day at a time.”

In the meantime, Jill is enjoying making her own rules with her husband by her side. The former TV personality, who is the proud mother of Israel, 5, and Samuel, 3, now wears ripped jeans, has a nose piercing and rocks modern bathing suits.

Yayoi Kusama’s Mind-Blowing Infinity Mirror Rooms Are Coming To Tate In 2021

Prepare to be dazzled! In spring 2021, the Tate Modern exhibits two of Yayoi Kusama’s trippy Infinity Mirror Rooms.

Two immersive installations by the Toyko-based nonagenarian arrive on Bankside next year, offering a glimpse into Kusama’s mini universes, in which ethereal lights seemingly run on into infinity.

Infinity Mirrored Room – Filled with the Brilliance of Life features hundreds of coloured LEDs, duplicated many thousands of times in a room that’s mirrored on the floor, walls and ceiling. The installation returns to the Tate, after appearing at a 2012 retrospective here.

Chandelier of Grief, meanwhile, comprises a ‘boundless universe’ of spinning baroque chandeliers — pretty haunting stuff.

The exhibition — which will cost non-Tate members £5 to experience — will be accompanied by photographs exploring the phenomenon that Kusama’s mirrored rooms have become. The artist created her first — called Infinity Mirror Room -Phalli’s Field — back in 1965.

Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirror Rooms is at Tate Modern from spring 2021-spring 2022. Tickets £5 — dates and booking available soon.
