Love Island’s Molly-Mae responds to Maura and Tommy scene

Published

on

Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has revealed that the final edition of Love Island: What Happened Next, which airs tonight (October 15), will feature a rather awkward moment.

Molly-Mae, who took part in the 2019 series of the show, has shared a video clip to her Instagram Stories which confirms that a scene featuring her fellow Islander Maura Higgins attempting to seduce Molly-Mae’s boyfriend Tommy Fury while in the villa will air in the reunion show tonight.

The controversial moment took place soon after Maura entered the villa last summer. After hitting it off with Tommy and continuously flirting with him – despite the fact that he was happily coupled with Molly-Mae at the time – Maura pinned Tommy down on a sofa and tried to get him to kiss her.

The moment sparked more than 700 Ofcom complaints from viewers, who were upset at Maura’s behaviour after Tommy resisted kissing her.

Tommy decided to stick with Molly-Mae throughout the show and they are still a couple, with the pair also now close friends with Maura – they even went on holiday together earlier this year.

But looking back on that event in the villa will be rather uncomfortable for Molly-Mae and Tommy, with Molly-Mae’s Instagram clip giving a sneak peek of the couple re-watching the scenes.

The pair are seen sitting on a sofa watching the scenes play out, with Molly-Mae responding to a comment made by her boyfriend with: “Just stop talking Tommy because you’re annoying me now.”

The pair are then seen sitting in bed together watching themselves on the reunion show (in a slightly Love Island-ception way), with Tommy laughing and Molly-Mae looking jokingly annoyed.

She captioned the clip: “When you’re made to watch your best mate and man crack on”. Awkward.

Fans have already had the chance to catch up with the contestants from series one to four over the past two nights, with 2018 stars Jack Fincham and Laura Anderson revealing that they have made a pact to marry each other if they’re both still single at 40.

We’ve also heard that 2016 couple Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland are planning to start a family soon, while series one former couple Hannah Elizabeth and Jon Clark enjoyed an amicable reunion.

Love Island is available via catch up on ITV Hub, while the final episode of Love Island: What Happened Next, featuring stars of series five and six, will air tonight (October 15) at 9pm on ITV2.

Why an ‘active’ approach to risk modelling is key to navigating markets today

Published

Whether investors are aiming for a cautious approach or a riskier investment profile with the potential for higher returns, Architas’ Blended Fund range is designed to match a range of investor risk appetites. And like many asset managers, Architas predominantly uses two approaches to define asset allocation within the five risk bands used in the Blended Range – strategic and tactical.

Whilst risk model provider EValue’s quantitative approach to asset allocation takes into account the long-term performance of different asset classes and the likely future performance given current valuations, along with long-term measures of volatility and correlations with other asset classes. Yet as with most systems of its kinds, EValue focuses on the long term; it is unable to analyse short-term market movements and fluctuations. So whilst it would have seen that in Q1 2020 markets fell by a record percentage before rebounding, it will not be able to factor in the cost of the coronavirus and lockdown and its impact on markets. Similarly, it is not able to consider ongoing Brexit woes, geo-political trade wars or the outcome of the US election in 2020.
