Actress Lisa Sheridan died in her New Orleans apartment on February 25. The 44-year-old actress is best known for her roles in numerous TV series such as ‘Halt and Catch Fire’, ‘Invasion’, ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘The 1400’, and ‘The Mentalist’. Although the apparent reason for the actress’ death hasn’t been revealed, there are speculations that the cause of her death is suicide. However, Sheridan’s family has completely denied the speculation, claiming it to be “100 percent unfounded”.

Sheridan’s death was confirmed by her manager, Mitch Clem, who told People that her family is devasted by her loss. Clem said, “We all loved Lisa very much and are devastated by the loss we all feel. She passed away Monday morning, at home, in her apartment in New Orleans. We are waiting for a coroners report on the cause of death.” Clem also confirmed the family’s ruling out of suicide as the cause for Sheridan’s death.

Sheridan’s death has not only been devastating for the family but also for her fellow industry co-workers who took to social media to pay tribute to the late actress. Donna D’Errico, who worked with Sheridan in the 2015 film ‘Only God Can’ paid tribute to the actress on Facebook.

The actress wrote, “I just received news that my dear friend, actress Lisa Sheridan, has passed away. She was found Monday morning. I am sitting here stunned. Lisa and I filmed a movie together five years ago and became very close on set and remained close friends after filming ended. It’s so rare to find a kind, gentle souls like hers in this industry, this city… even this world. Truly one of the most genuinely sweet and gentle people I’ve ever come across in my life. She brought a sweetness and bright energy to any room she happened to walk into…even in her darker times. I am devastated by this loss. I had just spoken with her and everything seemed great and she seemed happy and in good spirits.

“Everyone who knew her loved and adored her. Goodbye and goodnight sweet angel… I will miss you terribly,” Donna, 50, finished. “Please send up prayers for her family.” Filmmaker Michael Dunaway took to Instagram to share his memory of the actress in a lengthy post, where he stated, “She called me Big Brother, and for all intents and purposes I was. I met Lisa when she was fourteen years old, over thirty years ago. We were immediately attached at the hip, true soulmates from minute one. For the rest of the days of her life, she was a central part of mine. She was beautiful, obviously, and an immensely talented actor, and a wonderful friend, but more than anything she really did radiate this impossibly bright energy and life…”

Fans, too, paid tribute to the late actress on social media. One fan commented, “For so many years, I’ve admired her for so long. just opening Instagram and I see this. It truly hurts and she was such a joy in my life. I saw this and I thought, ”no, it can’t be. no. no. no” but it is. I’ll miss her so much.” Another fan stated, “That is so terribly sad. Too many beautiful young people gone too soon.”  In the early 2000s, Sheridan was previously engaged to ‘A Million Little Things’ actor Ron Livingston.
