The Frog Brothers Will Return This Halloween with Corey Feldman & Jamison Newlander

Published

on

The Frog Brothers live! This Halloween, Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander, perhaps best known together as Edgar and Alan Frog, will suit up once again, returning for what is teased as a free special on Youtube. Corey Feldman isn’t releasing all the details yet, but this should prove to be a fun Halloween treat for The Lost Boys fans who have been without a new movie for over a decade.

Corey Feldman isn’t being too forthcoming with what fans can expect. But it’s sure to put a smile on a lot of faces as Halloween festivities across the country are being canceled this year. Kids in quite a few American towns won’t be able to go Trick ‘R Treating in 2020. Haunted Houses and scary Theme Park attractions like Halloween Horror Nights at Universal have been outright canceled. And a lot of schools are not able to hold their annual Spooky Season dances. So it’s Edgar and Alan Frog to the rescue.

Corey Feldman has teamed up with his good friend Jamison Newlander to resurrect their iconic vampire hunting siblings The Frog Brothers, who have also, apparently, gotten into the ghost hunting business. The only clues Corey Feldman will drop about what he has planned is that this will be a ‘special’ of some sort. It will be free. And it will stream on Youtube.

The Frog Brothers were first introduced in 1987’s The Lost Boys and immediately became fan favorites as they helped new kid in town Sam Emerson save his brother Michael from a gang of bloodsuckers lead by the elusive and spooky David. Corey Feldman would reprise his role as Edgat Frog for 2008’s quasi-reboot Lost Boys: The Tribe, where he was reduced to a glorified cameo. Jamison Newlander would return alongside Feldman in 2010’s Lost Boys: The Thirst, which was basically their movie. Since then, the brothers have only shown up occasionally for a few Cameo videos.

They did, however, make a most triumphant return last Halloween in a new music video from musician Ekoh, which only made fans want a new standalone movie for The Frog Brothers even more. It was most recently announced that The Frogs would be getting a gender-swap in the long-planned TV show based on The Lost Boys, which is happening at The CW. Liza and Cassie Frog were to be played by Cheyenne Haynes and Haley Tju. This didn’t sit well with The Lost Boys fans, and coupled with a poor reaction to the pilot, The CW outright canceled that version of the show, recasting everyone from scratch.

Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander mocked the idea of turning The Frog Brothers into Frog Sisters with a well-received Youtube video. Later that same month, it was announced The CW was going in a new direction, and Feldman wouldn’t say no to the idea of returning for the new show in some capacity.

The last we heard about The Lost Boys TV show was back in February, when Lincoln Younes was cast to play the head vampire named Benjamin, based on Kiefer Sutherland’s David and Branden Cook was brought into play older brother Garrett, based on Jason Patrick’s Michael. A new pilot was about to be shot heading into spring, but the pandemic halted those plans. The CW passed on the uncompleted pilot, but CW president Mark Pedowitz called the show a ‘passion project’ during a May press call, and claims he is determined to see this one make it to the small screen.

While we wait for that to happen, we at least have the welcome news that the original Frogs will be back in some capacity this Halloween. We recently chatted with Corey Feldman about his most recent project, a documentary called (my) Truth: The Rape of 2 Coreys, which looks at child abuse in Hollywood. You can watch here for Corey’s Feldman’s captivating interview with Paulington James Christensen.

After 84 Years, We Finally Have Our First Pic Of Tom Holland As Nathan Drake In Uncharted

Published

By

FINALLY, after who knows how long at this point, Tom Holland has shared the first look at his next film Uncharted. The adaptation of the beloved adventure game franchise is finally happening, it’s happening.

Holland shared a picture of himself as a young Nathan Drake to social media overnight, the centre character of Uncharted, complete with Drake’s ring necklace (!!!), gun holsters, and khaki getup.

“It’s nice to meet you, I’m Nate. #uncharted,” Holland posted on Instagram.

Holland is joined by Mark Wahlberg as a (younger) Victor Sullivan, Antonio Banderas, Sophia Taylor Ali, and Tati Gabrielle.

Nolan North, the brilliant voice actor behind Drake in the games, shared a picture of himself on set with Holland this morning. And look, if the film has North’s approval then we’re in.

“Like looking into a mirror! Proud to have @TomHolland1996 continuing the Drake legacy! Absolutely smashing it!” he tweeted along with the pictures.

Uncharted is directed by Venom‘s Ruben Fleischer, who I’m pretty sure is the seventh director to be officially attached to the film over the last two years.

Back in January, then director Travis Knight (Bumblebee) pulled out of the project because of a scheduling problem, according to Deadline.

Other directors who, at one point or another were set to direct the film, include Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane), David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook), Neil Burger (Billions), Seth Gordon (Pixels), and Shawn Levy (Stranger Things).

The reasons for exiting the project are completely mixed, and it’s mostly got to do with other opportunities and scheduling issues. But it’s happening, it’s finally happening.

Uncharted is slated for release October 8, 2021, so fans still have to wait a little while longer. Hopefully, the pandemic doesn’t push that date back any further.

We’ll keep you updated.

In the meantime, let us once again enjoy big Uncharted fan Nathan Fillion in his very own Uncharted short film, directed by Allan Ungar. This was supposed to be just a little fan-made movie, but it completely blew up at the time.

It never gets old, tell ya what.

Blake Lively sneakily photoshops shoes onto her bare feet in Instagram post

Published

If you just glance at Blake Lively’s latest Instagram post, everything seems normal. She and husband Ryan Reynolds are standing in front of a wall, proudly holding their voting ballots for the US election.

Totally fine, right? But then Reynolds posted the same photo to his Instagram account, but something was slightly different.

In his upload, Lively has no shoes on, but she’s wearing what appear to be strappy brown sandals in her photo. And on closer inspection, she’s totally drawn them on.

While at first it just seemed like a bizarre editing fail, Lively ended up admitting to her artistic addition to the pic after her husband called her out in his Instagram story.

She didn’t say why she did it, but tagged luxury shoe brand Christian Louboutin in the photo.

On her story, she added another drawn-on shoe option, and wrote “@louboutinofficial, are you hiring? Barefoot iPhone doodler with vast experience avail.”

“Impressive resume on request,” she added on the next slide.

Yes, it’s very bizarre, but also very much the kind of thing we’ve come to expect from Lively and Reynolds.

The couple are notorious for their online antics, and honestly just seem like the kind of people we really wanna hang out with.

Watch Dua Lipa and Bernie Sanders Discuss the Election

Published

By

Dua Lipa may not be able to vote in the upcoming election, but she certainly understands just how crucial it is to do so, if you’re eligible. On Thursday, the British singer sat down with Sen. Bernie Sanders for an inspiring conversation addressed to young voters on Instagram, and discussed why you must vote (as if you needed another reason), how other countries like the UK are affected by leadership decisions in the US, and the need for universal healthcare.

As a British person, Dua shared that she often gets told to “stay out of [US] politics,” but she knows this upcoming election doesn’t just affect America. “I think it’s really important that we learn about each other’s country’s politics because that’s how we understand the way the world works and learn how to function as a society,” she said to the senator. “I just can’t stress enough the importance of voting, and getting the young people engaged and getting them out to vote.”

The senator agreed, emphasizing that even if you’re young, it’s your first time voting, and you feel a little intimidated, this election is “too important not to participate” in. “It is enormously important for the US and the rest of the world that Donald Trump is not reelected,” Bernie said. He also went on to explain that because many state governments are “working overtime to suppress voters,” it is all the more important to make sure your voice is heard.

“More than any other group of people, this election is vitally important to you,” he said to young voters. “It will determine whether you’re going to have a decent job and decent income, whether you’re going to have healthcare, whether we’re going to be able to grapple with a crisis of climate change, whether we deal with racism or police reform, and all of the other issues that are so important to young people. This is an election you just cannot afford to sit out.” If you weren’t already planning on casting your ballot, allow Bernie’s words to demonstrate just how critical this election is.
